Another good addition to the Fablehaven saga; However, I felt this one was really anti-climatic. Maybe I've been reading too many detailed, suspenseful stories lately, but I was a little disappointed with how quickly the novel ended. Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary started out with a good pace. It was exciting, engaging and written with the same captivating energy as the previous 3 Fablehaven novels... but I still felt like the end of the novel was crammed into the last 100 pages. In this novel, we meet a couple new characters and several old characters. There are some excellent plot twists... but it almost seemed as though the end goal was just handed over on a silver platter. There was no struggle. It was a story-book ending. Everything works out as best as it can... but there's the cliff-hanger ending to get us to the next book. This has almost become Mull's calling card... yet... I STILL love the series, and I look forward to the fifth and final installment of Fablehaven.
Odd, but entertaining.
